Although they had seen each other from afar at church for nearly a year, Jayden and Eleanor were both too shy to say hello. that changed in December 2023, when Eleanor finally walked up to Jayden. A small, simple word – “Hey” – sparked an instant response, something special. From that moment on, they were inseparable.

Within days, Jayden had asked Eleanor to be his girlfriend.

He chose a special spot: the Connell camp, on the shores of Lake Superior, a place that would become dear to them both. It was there, in the still and solemn beauty of creation, that their relationship began.

From then on, the two did everything together; concerts, NBA games, travel, they shared everything: most importantly, they learned to share that precious gift of laughter: not hard and cruel, but gentle, sweet, sad – and kind.

Jayden and Eleanor have also discovered a grounding in faith, a sure foundation on which to build with compassion, and hope, and love.
